This is the first of a series of lectures aimed at providing an in depth examination of strength training principles, with a specific view to the considerations of Athletic Trainers. The three main sections of this presentation are as follows: Physics, Law of Adaptation, and Approaches to Training. This ‘Foundations’ presentation will provide some definitions and concepts to better understand later entries in the series. Strength Training Principles for the AT seeks to both provide ATs with greater insights into the practice of strength training, and develop connections that can supplement their health care practice.
