Hey everyone! I’m extremely excited to bring you our next blog post. My name is Kassie Johns and I am the billing manager and public relations/marketing representative for Precision Athletic Training. I have been with Precision since 2015 after leaving a job that was a terrible fit for me. Mara presented me with a great opportunity to come on board working as the PR representative. Shortly after I started, Mara started working more with the Skating Club of Boston and I started receiving more and more administrative responsibilities, including billing. I work with all youth sport and college scheduling, handle billing, manage our social media accounts and public relations, and oversee company marketing, advertising and CEU sponsorships to make our live events the best experience they can be for you.
It is with a little excitement, fear, and sadness that I share with all of you that I will be taking a large step back from my responsibilities at Precision. Over the last 3 years, Mara has given me more opportunity and more ability for growth within the company than I ever could have imagined. As a product of this, I was offered an amazing opportunity to work at TJX and begin a new career path. In the interim, I will be staying on and helping Precision with billing and will continue working some per diem jobs. I have loved my time at Precision and it was a very difficult decision to leave, but I’m very excited to see what the future holds and to watch Precision continue to thrive.
As most of you know this month is National Athletic Training Month! I wanted the link to express the importance of ATs to athletics and all other settings! The link below is one I wanted to share because it’s such a great explanation of the importance of ATs in schools and sports. I know I’m preaching to the choir here but I wanted to provide you all with yet another tool to demonstrate the importance of the profession not only during NATM but all year.
We’ve shared this quote this month already on social media but in case you don’t follow us (you should!) “If a school can afford to have sports, they can afford to have an athletic trainer…I don’t think you can have one without the other. You wouldn’t drop your kids off at a pool without a lifeguard, but yet everyday millions of parents drop their kids off at a practice or a game and there’s no athletic trainer there” -David J. Byrnes
