The Effects of Motor Imagery on Functional Postural Balance
Katie Delude, MS, ATC, LAT, CES
1 Category A CEU
Athletic trainers always strive for cost-effective ways to improve their patient outcomes. In this lecture, participants will learn to incorporate motor imagery into their rehabilitation practices. Audio and visual practices can statistically trend in the positive direction for physical movement, and are a risk-free method that does not require extra time or money to implement. Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to define kinesthetic and visual imagery, explain the purposes of the two types, choose the appropriate imagery for the task in question, and explain the functional equivalence of the neurological benefits.
Stress Reduction in Athletic Trainers
